My daughter has a pretty good understanding of Safety.
She knows how I got hurt at work and some of the other things that can cause someone to be injured.
She is also aware of things that can protect you like Seatbelts and helmets but that is because she is exposed to it and we probably talk about safety more than most families.
But I was really happy to hear the other week that a little mate of mine called Cooper who is only 6 years old saw some other boys riding their bikes without a helmet on and he told them that they need to put their helmets on. And the next time I caught up with Cooper he said to me,
“James you need to speak to these kids to tell them why they should wear a helmet”
Well done Cooper!!
