How can we help

• Ask a lived experience speaker to share their story face-to-face or online anywhere in Australia or around the world. Your people will see, hear and feel how and incident changed their lives and affected many other people

• The CHOICES – The James Wood Story on Video a fully self contained training module that you can use for inductions and training days. It has everything you need to run a one hour interactive session or use the video standalone as part of your own training program. This can now be accompanied with a personalised video message from Woody to your team

• Woody’s Words – Have you ever been stuck for a toolbox talk topic or a short message to draw the focus on safety or how an injury changes your life. Available to download is 80+ short 1-5 minutes videos to use forever and search for a specific topic such as PPE, seatbelts, driving to the conditions etc.

• ‘12 Reasons NOT to get Hurt at work’ a short book that every employer, manager, board member and employee should have in their toolbox or on their desk

Speaker Presentations

We have workplace safety & mental health speakers  that will share their safety story at your workplace. Our speakers give you an insight into how an injury or fatality will affect you, your family and friends.

All of our speakers have survived incidents that have changed their lives, and as a result they have different stories to share.

CNB can work with your team to choose an appropriate safety speaker to drive home your safety messages and support your safety plan with a strategic approach. Our speakers will share their personal stories, who they are and the incidents that changed their lives. They will speak about physical and mental health, before and after their incidents/injury, impacts on family, friends, community and the workplace, ongoing issues, career paths and coping with a changing incident.

Presentations can be tailored to suit your time and shift requirements. Ideally we ask for 60mins to allow a speaker to not only share their story and messages but then to interact with the group and answer any questions they may have. We also understand that this may not be possible for some workplaces and can fir in with your schedule.

Online Session can be customised to fit in with your training requiremnets.

Online Presentation Guidelines 

There is no limit to the number of attendees or when the presentations can be held. Speakers will work around night and day shifts, can do early morning and evening presentations as required or whenever works for your team.

Travel, accommodation and related expenses are all additional.

As part of the experience CNB Safe can supply CHOICES – The James Wood Story Safety Training Package. A fully self contained video training package based on James Wood’s story on getting hurt as a result of the CHOICES he made while doing his job.

Woody can also film an introduction and closing message specifically for your business. CNB Safe would work with you on any key focus, messages or safety initiatives you would like to share with your team.  Woody drafts a script for you to approve, film the personal messages and edit the whole package together.  You will receive this as a downloadable link and also on USB as part of the training package.

This is a great tool for inclusion in inductions, training, safety days or for the people that were on leave or away when incorporating a site visit presentation with one of our speakers.

Woody has recently released his short book on the 12 Reasons NOT to get hurt at work

This book will enable employees to look back in more detail into some of the points he discusses. It is also an ideal reference for management and leadership personnel to be able to use in safety discussions with employees and contractors.
