Woody the Safety Bloke talks about how Quick jobs can take longer.
Good day everyone. Woody again. You know one of the things that I don’t like is how much longer it takes me to do just simple things. I mean, I’m a mechanic or a fitter by trade, and to replace a battery in a car or a piece of machinery is to me a ten minute job. Now I find that things take me a lot longer. I mean just getting the battery from up, where I would be charging it, down to the vehicle takes me a bit of time.
There you go. So as you can see, just to carry a battery from the shed down to the car takes me a lot longer and I’ve got to be a lot more careful with it. So, it’s not fun sometimes. Then to actually lift it into the vehicle, I don’t know, stuff that used to take me five minutes now takes me 15-20 minutes and you add that over a period of a day or a week or a year, or in my case over 20 years that’s a lot of extra effort just to do simple things.
Don’t hurt yourself people. It’s not worth it for the way that it changes your life. I’m Woody. Until next time, stay safe.
