It’s been a few months now since borders have opened, travel has resumed and workplaces are letting more people ‘back to work’.

But have you noticed any changes?

I have been lucky enough to start visiting workplaces in the last few months and I have noticed that we are working to try and control the spread of the pandemic.

Here are a few of the things that I have seen:

Social distancing – in some of the sessions I have run, the groups have been separated and are not all crammed in next to each other

Less physical contact – I have noticed that people don’t shake hands or hug when meeting or greeting each other

Hygiene – most workplaces I have visited have installed or upgraded facilities for handwashing and hand sterilising

Awareness – at some pre-start meetings there is usually a reminder to follow all precautions to try and stop the spread of any possible infection.

How long will this go on?
Will this be the new ‘Normal’ way of doing things?
Who knows…

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how it all plays out but I think we are doing the right thing. When I hear the number of new infections each day in other countries, I’m assured that the effort we are putting in is worth it.

Makes me appreciate the country we live in. Stay Safe Australia.
